The F-35 program seems unfair in a way. Billions and billions of dollars are being put toward military efforts like the F-35 that will need more work. One trillion dollars is a lot of money; I think it is a little unreasonable. The project seems amazing, but when such a large amount of money is spent, it doesn't seem as amazing anymore. I understand that the nation's budget goes toward many categories, but we have to make good decisions about how we spend our money. There are many ways we can spend money. For example, there are homeless people out there that don't have much at all; to me that's upsetting. Homelessness can happen to anyone and it's not fair for people to go through that alone. Budgetary funds that are "left over" or "extra" should be used to help the homeless, not just projects like the F-35 program. -Emily Sandera |
