In chapter 8, Nick complimented Gatsby saying "You're worth the whole bunch put together" comparing Gatsby to Daisy, Jordan, Tom, and the sort of people who attended Gatsby's parties.

At the end of the chapter, Montag found himself with his fellow firemen at his own door. What are your predictions for the next chapter? What will Montag's fate be? Will he defend himself/his home? Will he become violent or defensive with the firemen? Do you think he will protect his house or himself? Perhaps will Faber come to his aid?
