Good morning!
Make sure to be welcoming and on your best behavior for Ms. Selves. Remember, Mel will deal with any behavior issues; when Heidi returns there will be consequences as well. Be the kind and respectful people we know you are- you are wonderful kids. :)
SST- All students have Alpha assignments to work on. Their folders are on the corner filing cabinet.
2nd hr.- Eng. 9- The Old Man and the Sea final projects (12 slides minimum)
Each group will pick one theme: brotherly love, loyalty, Santiago as "the Hemingway Hero," or faith (hope/belief- not religion)
Jordan/Kody
Hunter/Jason
Emily/Natasha
Donna/Austen/Destanie
You will need 10 quotes from the book (with pg. #) illustrating your theme (include a nice picture for each slide). You must also discuss why these quotes help support your point. Along with a cover slide, I'd like a slide defining your theme. Video clips that show your understanding of the theme are highly suggested.**
