It is important for U.S. citizens to vote because it's our right. We should have the opportunity to be involved in the decisions that influence the rules we have to follow. Voting is important because without that, we're pretty much slaves in the U.S. Voting lets us make choices to better our country so we can live here in peace. It lets us get our opinions on things out there.

The election is almost here and proof of this is everywhere. TV commercials are filled with political information, the internet has constant election ads, and our school asks us why it's important for U.S. citizens to vote. This reminds me of why I'm proud to be an American. It also reminds me why my people have fought for the right to vote.
The right to vote is a privilege that I am proud to say I have. This is an important right, one because our country has fought for voting throughout our nation's history. Another reason is because it's important for us to put our thoughts in for the way our country is run. The people of the United States help run the country, not just one person. This is why I think it is important to vote.

It's important because we need the right person to help guide us and our country. We need someone who will support us not someone who will give up on us or hurt us. We need somebody who we know will be a good leader not someone who would drag us down, one who will bring justice not disgrace. This country needs a leader not a follower. We need Obama not Mitt Romney!
